Repair Terms & Conditions

The customer should remove their SIM and/or Memory Card(s)/ Case and/or Cover from the device before submitting it for repair. We cannot accept any responsibility for the loss or damage of these items. Warranty Unless otherwise specified, most repairs carry a 90 Days Manufacturer Defect Parts Warranty from the date of collection. Service warranty on the repair is performed to address the specific fault stated. Any previously undiagnosed or subsequent faults are not covered by the warranty, and will be handled as separate repairs. We will meet all obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA). Screen Warranty disclaimer Please note if the screen has cracked in any way shape or form the manufacturer will not cover this under there warranty as this is considered Physical Damage. If the screen is uplifting we recommend for you to make contact with us immediately and bring the phone in as soon as possible as if the screen does become cracked it will not be covered by the manufacturer. Liquid Damaged Device Disclaimer There is only a Limited Warranty on any liquid damaged repairs due to the nature of the repair. Even if the device appears to be working before the repair, there will be corrosion within the device, which can result in a short circuit while the device is being cleaned and flushed, or at any time thereafter. A short circuit will result in hardware or software failure, and resulting loss of data/settings and functionality. This is a common problem related to internal corrosion and not a procedure fault. Device manufacturers refuse to repair a liquid damaged device due to the nature of the repair. The Customer is hereby warned that there is a substantial failure rate. iFix Nz Ltd accepts no responsibility for this failure rate, and will only attempt a liquid damaged device repair upon the Customer understanding the risk of failure and agreeing to assume all risk. We reserve the right to requote as there is no telling which components need to be replaced before a thorough inspection, or due to the failure rate in this nature of repair. Parts that are replaced during the repair come with a 3 month manufacturer’s warranty only for manufacturer defects. This warranty does not cover improper use by the Customer. This warranty is also invalidated if the device is taken apart by an unauthorised service centre or other unauthorised persons. Touch Screen/Glass Replacement Disclaimer When repairing the touch screen/glass on a device, there is a chance that the LCD can be damaged. This will result in the need to replace the entire LCD which will cost more. iFix Nz Ltd will only attempt this type of repair if the customer understands and agrees to undertake the risk involved. We cannot perform the repair otherwise, as we are unable to accept any liability for any damage to the LCD. Acknowledgement and Indemnification By signing the this intake form the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions and disclaimers. The customer hereby agrees to indemnify iFix Nz Ltd and associated management and staff against any liability and monetary claims relating to lost data, lost settings, and existing faults on the phone, known or unknown. The Customer understands and agrees to all of the above, and hereby indemnifies iFix Nz Ltd, and its related management and staff, against any liability, direct or consequential, relating to the repair.
